Kudu: Graceful Browsers of the Bush

The kudu, with its elegant spiral horns and sleek body, is one of Africa’s most striking antelopes. Found in woodlands and savannahs, kudu are browsers, feeding on leaves, shoots, and fruits. Their ability to navigate dense vegetation and their keen senses make them elusive and difficult to spot.

Male kudu are especially recognizable for their long, twisted horns, which can reach up to 6 feet in length. These horns are used in displays of dominance and defense during mating season. Despite their agility, kudu face threats from habitat loss and hunting, underscoring the need for conservation efforts to protect these magnificent creatures.
